Did you know that you lose about 25% of your home heating directly through the roof of your house if you have not had it insulated. It doesn't take a genius to
realise that this type of heat loss will be costing you a lot of money. Loft insulation is a quick and easy way to address this problem.
Mineral fibre rolls (Earthwool 44) are laid between the joists at the required thickness. Currently (as of November 2016) building regulations and the Energy Saving's Trust recommend
300mm thickness. However, if you are looking to simply top up the current thickness of your loft insulation we can supply insulation material with depths of 100, 150, 170 and
Insulation to tanks and pipes are also carried out as part of the loft insulation process. Installers will also check that their is adequate ventilation between
newly laid insulation and the roof. This is to avoid any condensation forming in the now cold roof space.
Average Installation Times
Assuming no complications are encountered, such as loft area still has homeowner's belongings in it, approximate times as follows :
Mid Terrace - 45 minutes.
3 Bed Semi Detached - 1 1/2 hours.
5 Bed Detached - 2 1/2 hours.
Earthwool 44 Loft Insulation Material
The Earthwool 44 loft insulation material has a very low thermal conductivity value, is odourless, will not set alight, will not encourage the growth of fungi,
bacteria or mould and will
not encourage rats and other vermin to nest.
Loft insulation rolls come wrapped and are unwrapped in the loft to reduce any mess.
